Whistleblower and former US Military intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning has publicly criticized the journalist Glenn Greenwald for his more and more right-wing politics.

In a collection of tweets very last Thursday afternoon, Manning wrote that she required to return to Greenwald a $10,000 donation he experienced provided to her simply because, “i can’t offer with this any longer. im terrified of you and all the things you do. you are greedy, unprincipled, and im humiliated for at any time contemplating you a good friend.”

Manning went on to compose that she experienced “decided that im no extended going to be afraid of stating what’s on my thoughts any longer or taking a stand from the people today that i as soon as regarded as allies but who have chosen to bash, harass, humiliate, intimidate, and lie to get in advance.”

Even though she was not particular in her reviews, Manning was obviously responding to the reality that Greenwald has evolved—since his first protection of the whistleblower in 2010—into a proponent of serious suitable-wing politics.

Chelsea Manning was convicted by courtroom-martial in July 2013 of violations of the Espionage Act and other violations following disclosing to WikiLeaks some 750,000 files that exposed the crimes of the US armed service in the Afghan and Iraq wars. Manning was imprisoned from 2010 to 2017 for her heroic exposures.

The American journalist Greenwald started his occupation as a blogger who was critical of US foreign plan and the Iraq War. He contributed to Salon in 2007 and to The Guardian beginning in 2012 and performed a sizeable function in the publicity of the classified files about illegal US surveillance plans leaked by NSA contractor Edward Snowden in 2013.
